Job Description
The Role We are looking for a highly experienced and professional Captain to take command of a luxury vessel. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, extensive navigational knowledge, and a proven track record of maintaining the highest safety and service standards for both owners and charter guests.
- Type: Private / Charter Yacht.
- Location: Based in the Mediterranean (Mallorca).
- Language: Fluent English (mandatory), Spanish is a strong advantage.
- Start Date: Immediate / 2026 Season.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe navigation and operation of the vessel at all times.
- Full management of the crew, including hiring, training, and performance oversight.
- Overseeing the yacht’s budget, accounting, and operational expenses.
- Ensuring total compliance with international maritime laws, safety regulations (ISM/ISPS), and flag state requirements.
- Managing all maintenance schedules and shipyard periods to keep the vessel in pristine condition.
- Providing an exceptional experience for guests, including itinerary planning and expert local knowledge.
- Acting as a professional representative of the owner and the agency.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Extensive experience as a Captain on similar-sized yachts (Private or Charter).
- Licensing: Minimum Master 200gt (or higher depending on yacht tonnage) and all valid STCW endorsements.
- Certification: Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
- Skills: Excellent ship-handling skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong administrative abilities.
- Attitude: Calm under pressure, decisive, and service-oriented.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Mediterranean cruising grounds and port operations.
